Following a lifelong career in public education, Dr. Robin Hickerson was named President and CEO of the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce in July of 2024. After attending Texarkana College, she earned degrees from Texas A&M University – Texarkana. Robin has served on multiple boards and committees in the greater Texarkana area, including past president of the Wilbur Smith Rotary Club, past sustainer president of the Junior League of Texarkana, and past president of the Texarkana Airport Authority. Robin was a recipient of the Arkansas Principal of the Year award in 2008 and was last year's recipient of the prestigious Idalee Hawkins Leader of the Year award. 

 

She and her husband, David, attend First United Methodist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas.  They enjoy being involved in their grandchildren's school and extracurricular activities.  Robin is from a family that values hard work, honesty, and service to others. She said, “I am fortunate to have been raised by parents who instilled in me a love for community, and the values they taught me shape and inform my decisions daily.”
